Pleased to Meet You, Hope You Guessed My Name

Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?
TK421.net has a cool little survey up whereby you can determine which Science Fiction or Fantasy character you most identify with (thanks for the link, Wil Wheaton!).

I was Picard! (Hence the picture.) Are you proud of your son now, Dad?! :)

Here is a list of all the characters you can get in the survey. I am happy to see that I am in the marked minority. I always knew I was spacial! Of course, part of me is unhappy that I did not get Raistlin Majere!

If you roll 20s, there is also a survey that tells you which D&D character you are. Only hard-core D&D gamers will be interested, but I know a few of you read this blog. For those who are interested, I am a Neutral Good Elf Ranger Bard, which is not so surprising, since this is the type of character I seem to play, anyway.

I'm a lawful good gnome bard ranger. I was surprised at first but it kinda fits....

Looks like I just Picarded as well. Nice to be part of the club.

As far as D&D character... Lawful Good Elf Bard Ranger. You know, I'm pretty good with that, though I'm not too fond of the elf part, but, then again, I always love to throw in the "corrupt elf" meme in my campaigns.

"Corrupt elf", or Crelf. ;)

Matthew, I did not know you gamed! Shit, when you come to visit, we might have to get together with Ota and throw a few dice!

I've only played a few games of D&D but I had all of the AD&D books before I was 10 and I was bigtime into Dragonlance at about the same time. Come to think of it, I've only DMed D&D, never played. I've played 'Ninjas and Superspies' and 'Heroes Unlimited' and a few others, however. I like the Palladium skill system but a decent DM could hack up something like that for D&D without many problems.

D&D for ease of play and fun, Palladium for the skills and probably 'Warhammer' (WFRP) for the game world. The 'Chaos' concept in that stuff just rules. I probably shouldn't have been into that stuff when I was a kid, however....

I'll be damned! You never told me you were a Dragonlance man, either! I read pretty much all of the Dragonlance books in high school. I just finished the most recent Weis and Hickman trilogy, "War of Souls", this summer.

Tasty tasty.

Funny, I got Picard as well. But I thought I was the one with the Raistlin bent -- what happened to your Tanis fixation of years past? Or have you merely grown dark and cynical with age...?

Tanis is still my favourite character, but this survey did not include him, tragically.

So I still identify more with bearded half-elves than with bald Englishmen...
